Detailed description of Mint Valley Golf Course

The Mint Valley Golf Course first opened for play in 1976. The Mint was designed by Ron Freem.

Mint Valley has well-bunkered greens, water hazards, and tall trees that will test every skill level. The greens are always fast and in excellent condition. Mint Valley's most difficult hole is #10, a 406-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a dogleg left fairway that is lined by trees on both sides, then an approach shot past huge sand bunkers guarding the right side of the green. The course also features practice putting and chipping greens as well as a covered driving range. The course is easily walkable.

Mint Valley also has a six-hole, par 3 course with holes ranging in distance from 50 to 90 yards. This is a great place to fine tune your short game and introduce the game to beginning players.

This par 71 championship course plays 6,389 yards from the back tees and 5,230 yards from the forward tees. The longest hole on the course is # 15, a par-5 that plays to 540 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 12, a par-3 that plays to 143 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 5, a 401 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 12, a 143 yard par-3.
